About Us
Douglas Mechanical Services of Connecticut is a medium, family-owned business that has been in operation since 2004. We provide quality air conditioning and heating services to Berlin and the surrounding areas.
Our company was founded by Douglas Sturtevant, who has been in the industry for over 30 years. He has been working in the field since 1986 when he first started as an apprentice with United Mechanical. During his time there he learned all about the trade from some of their most experienced technicians.
After completing his apprenticeship program at Goodwin Technical School, Doug became an expert on all of the latest technology used in HVAC systems. He also learned how to work safely and efficiently—the two most important things when running your own business!
When Doug decided it was time for him to start his own company, he counted on the spirit and skill of his wife Jill. She is responsible for keeping their books up-to-date and ensuring that all employees are paid on time each week. She also helps with HR, PR and the legalities of day to day operations.
